a series on overheated flowers.
Them being mostly decoration which you pass by
without enormous attention. Some smoke appears like gentle dawn at first.
But when the heating really turns on, they burn and move on.

a series shot through binoculars held in front of the camera.
Working with the wondrous urge to explore, while at the same time
there's a need of control. Out in the open the binocular reshapes
the perspective, giving you the feeling of looking at a maquette.

The lomocamera which always outlights anything within a meter distance,
enables me to concentrate on one object at a time, studying it's silhouet
and the way its intertwined with its surroundings.
I saw the leaf possible of containing both young and old.
Cutting out the veins and flipping them over so they became roots.
The first impression is a perfectly bright and green one,
then realising there is actually no coherency anymore;
this is my study of discussing the archetype.

en zo bloeien zij,

Placed on a tin foil covered table, I melted parts of the tiny plastic soldiers
which spread out fluently. When drying up they happened to take on the form
of the wrinkles in the foil. Through that they became grand statues as if carved out of stone.
