attended a portfolio review in Cobh, Cork county, Ireland
initiated by Sirius Art Centre as part of the Photofestival "All my lovin'",
where I spoke with Matt Packer of the Lewis Glucksman Gallery,
Barry W Hughes of SuperMassiveBlackHole and Ángel Luis González of PhotoIreland Festival
among others and where I met some intriguing people, like Yaron Lapid and
Miriam o'Connor whose websites should be visited as well.

"Spelen kan je prima in je eentje. Winnen, hmm, ja van je vorige doelen.
Maar daar waar de ogen gaan twinkelen, daar waar alles op scherp gaat ratelen,
waar je medespeler een tegenstander wordt in het vizier waar jij op slinkse wijze
langs weet te komen, waar jij geniet van het vals spelen. Van het opzettelijk klein bedrog.
Van de handeling waardoor jij net iets dichterbij komt. Het goed verbeeld hebben van
de situatie, ontleed tot het moment dat je voelde door een kleine aanpassing een spurt te maken.
Eén onder het oog door waardoor je op kop loopt en waarvan je eigenlijk stiekem hoopt dat
ze het later toch ontdekken. Terwijl jij je allang verkneukelt. Want in jouw hoofd zijn
de verhoudingen even omgedraaid, die van groot en klein. En wat ver weg lijkt komt ineens dichtbij.
Controle van de schone schijn. Het plezier van het naar je hand zetten.
Subtiel, haast onschuldig, de nuances waarnemend.."

"Karakter begint met verlangen. Dromen. Dat willen aanraken waar je nu nog niet bent.
Zien wat je nog niet beheerst. Dát is wat je in beweging zet, wat je net
iets harder doet lopen, beter doet kijken, wat jou jou laat zijn. En dat het tijdelijk
jouw perspectief van de werkelijkheid aanpast, dat is alleen maar mooi.
Door een verrekijker voor het inzoomende objectief te plaatsen haal ik binnen zicht
wat nog buiten bereik ligt. Ze is het hulpstuk tot verbeelding van verlangen.."

Special project 'White Inn' where I reconstruncted the interior of a kip-caravan
keeping only the furniture that was needed as a surface to present my installations and photos,
then white washing all as to erase all common references and in doing so creating space for new traces.
Passersby could simply step up and walk into the 'White Inn'.
Viewers who started at the academy would first see a white line study as an introduction to 'White Inn'.
